A NEW RAINFALL AND TEMPERATURE DATASET FOR THE RHINE BASIN
Description
For this new reforecasts hydrological dataset, we used a high-resolution hydrological model (30 arc sec.), with seamless parameter estimates using global soil- and land-use maps has. The model has been tested both for the Rhine river basin and other European basins. As part of these activities, we developed a high-resolution hourly-gridded observed rainfall, temperature and potential evaporation dataset for the Rhine (~1997-2015), which has been made available online.
