EXTREME FORECAST INDEX (EFI) FOR WATER VAPOUR TRANSPORT
Description
The Extreme Forecast Index (EFI) for water vapour transport helps to diagnose observations and forecasts of the largest precipitation events in Europe and other regions. Results using global observations and high-resolution observations over the Iberian Peninsula highlight the effectiveness of this EFI product for early warning of extreme precipitation in mid-latitude domains, particularly at time scales ranging from days to weeks.
